Nancy Pereira
I am the Community Partnership Team Lead. For the last four years I have been working in the field of Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH), engaging youth to speak out, and raise awareness about mental illness. I respect and value the contributions that youth have to offer, and authored a 70-page manual outlining strategies and effective practices for engaging youth in CYMH agencies.
What do you like about being involved with Mobilizing Minds?
It is a privilege to be a member of the Mobilizing Minds team. When it comes to mental health supports and services, there is a scarcity of resources available for young adults. This project is working to address those gaps, and at the core of all this work are the voices and talents of young adults.
What do you hope to achieve with Mobilizing Minds?
The excellent resources being developed by Mobilizing Minds will truly have value when they get into the hands of young adults, or those providing services. I have the exciting job of bringing together community partners to learn, collaborate and share resources as a team. I look forward to welcoming new partners to this initiative, and getting the materials into the hands of those who need it.
