Project Lead Message
Dr. John WalkerHealth is one of the most important sources of security in life, affecting our ability to care for ourselves, our family and home, and our work. Among young adults the most common health problems are those affecting mental health: anxiety and depression.
Young adults who face problems with stress, anxiety and depression are met with complex decisions about care and often lack the information they need to pursue the kind of help that they prefer. In order to meet this gap, Mobilizing Minds has spent time listening to young adults to find out what information young adults want and how they wish to receive this information.
Most of the currently available information about coping with anxiety and depression does not address many of the questions and concerns expressed by young adults. Mobilizing Minds is working to develop user-friendly resources that will address some of these unmet information needs.
We welcome your interest in learning about our research and our efforts in mobilizing knowledge. Whether you are a young adult, a person supporting a young adult, a person providing services to young adults, or an interested member of the public, we hope that you will find the resources we are developing to be helpful.
Thank you for visiting our website. We welcome your feedback and suggestions along the way.
